Discovering the Museum

The Grigore Antipa Museum was opened in 1834 and ever since its collections have always taken giant steps forward. The notable size of the museum means that it can house a large collection, with close to two million items being on display.

The museum has numerous interactive exhibitions and educational games that enable visitors to discover the world's biodiversity throughout history. As you visit the museum, you discover all sorts of animals as well as some archaeological findings, including an impressive dinosaur skeleton.

Engaging, But Not Essential

The Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History is an ideal museum to explore with children, and it's extremely popular with school trips, however, it's not a particularly recommendable option for most tourists who have a limited amount of time in the city.
