Pasajul Macca-Vilacrosse

Located between Victory Avenue and Lipscani, Pasajul Macca-Vilacrosse is a magical spot in Bucharest, comprising of a gallery where it seems like time has stopped still, showing a more relaxed side to the city.

Discovering Pasajul Macca-Vilacrosse

This fork-shaped, yellow glass covered arcaded street was designed with a notable French influence. Covered with an eye-catching glass roof with yellow tones, the light shines through making this an extremely pleasant spot in the city.

During communist rule, the city's main jewellery stores could all be found here, and it was renamed as Jewellery Passage until 1990, when it recovered its original name.

These days, Pasajul Macca-Vilacrosse is full of bars and restaurants frequented by both tourists and locals, especially at nightfall.
